Aerodynamic performance:
An I/P module with a rear pneumatic amplifier is used to control the pneumatic actuator. The I/P module converts the positioning electrical signal from the CPU into a pneumatic signal proportionally by adjusting the three-position three-way valve. The adjustment of the pressurization or decompression of the actuator is continuous, so excellent control can be achieved. When the set point is reached, the three-position three-way valve locks in the middle position to minimize air consumption. There are a total of four different pneumatic outputs: single acting and double acting, each available in "fail-safe" and "fail-lock" models.
Fail-Safe function:If the power is off or the signal is broken, the positioner outputs 1 decompress, and the pneumatic actuator returns the spring to operate the valve to a defined safe position. If it is a double acting actuator, the output 2 is also pressurized.
Failure-Block function:If the power is off or the signal is broken, the positioner output 1 (output 2, if any) is locked and the pneumatic actuator holds the valve in its current position. If the air supply is interrupted, the actuator depressurizes.
